LOCATION,

We are at 569-571 High Street Preston, within the walls of the legendary Jam Hut Rehearsal Studios.
There is parking directly out front and there is great coffee directly across the road.
We also have a number of good pizza shops, lots of Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese stores. Lots of vegan food, close to Preston Market and have a rip off multinational supermarket, all within a 5-minute walk.

Recording

100’s of bands have recorded/ Mixed or Mastered their records with me under the Goatsound banner over the 15-plus years we have been in business.

We offer everything, from simple demos and EPs to full-length album production for an ever-growing list of national and international artists. If you want to do an entire album in a day rough as guts, we are happy to do that, If you want to take weeks to create a produced masterpiece we are more than happy to do that too, both ways have merit, and depending on the type of band, both ways are correct.
We have 32 track Pro-Tools based digital and also 24 track 2” Analogue recording capabilities. We also offer a selection of amps, cabinets, pedals, and other assorted gear to use in your session at no charge. See the gear page for more information on what is available.

Mastering

We have some high-end mastering gear including the locally made EQ-6S Stereo Equalizer and HVA-4K Stereo Bus Compressor from High Voltage Audio sitting alongside the highly prized and regarded USA-made Undertone Audio Unfairchild 670MII Compressor. These pieces of hardware sitting alongside digital mastering software like Steinberg's Wavelab and Plugins from Fabfilter really give us the best of both digital and analog to make sure your album master is as great as it deserves to be.

We are one of the few studios that can follow your project from conception right the way through to the final mastering stages, Including if needed, cutting your masters onto lacquers for pressing.
